A short list of new and projected features in OMDAQ-3

·         Operation with conventional OM data acquision hardware and third party devices:

• NUS-DAQ FPGA DAQ and beam scanning
• Single channel high speed ADCs such as Canberra and Fastcom or digital X-ray processors such as SGX Titan.
• Caen series of fast ADCs
• XIA series of fast X-ray pulse processors
• Ocean Optics spectrometers
• Kore time-to-digital converter for reading ToF data (mass spectra).

• Aerotech A3200 series controllers version 2, version 4, version 5
• Smaract piezo stages
• PI piezo and mechanical stages
• User supplied DLL

·         XYZ stage scanning features completely overhauled.

·         All hardware configuration brought together in a single dialog box (Tools | Define hardware).

·         Save and load hardware profiles.

·         All configuration files stored in XML format to facilitate transparent upgrades.

·         Definable axis scaling button on spectra (to help with preparing spectra for publication?)

·         Map manipulation – add elemental maps together, normalise elemental maps to a selected map to help remove beam current glitches.

·         Operates under Windows 7 (32 bit only for hardware interface) and Windows 10 (ditto).
